OCH Round Table Part #4
In our fourth and final recap of our roundtable conversation, we cover a lot of ground!
At this point in the conversation, we talked about how Old City Hall could best serve the community around it. We have several plans already in motion, including entrepreneurship classes for kids and adults and a neighborhood map with small businesses and their stories. It made us happy to hear that Ryan (Sunny’s) would appreciate a neighborhood guide with a map of local businesses, because this has been part of our plan from the start. While Old City Hall will be a home for many small businesses, we also know that we are surrounded by countless others who deserve community support and patronage so they can flourish along with us!
Our founder and CEO, Eli, is incredibly motivated to provide guidance and education to entrepreneurs in Tacoma, especially those that are young! Starting a business or creating a product is an extremely daunting task for those who are not already in a community of entrepreneurs, and currently, there is a lack of hands-on educational resources for young people to learn business skills. We saw this need and have incorporated a solution into the fabric of our mission! Stay tuned for more information and announcements on Surge Institute, our program for young, aspiring entrepreneurs.
