Surge Institute: Kristine Part 2
We are so excited to be able to talk about our Surge Institute programming in detail!
Once Old City Hall opens next year, we’ll get to work right away to help the entrepreneurs of Tacoma. Surge Institute aims to support business leaders of all ages, so we will offer a variety of programs!
You can look forward to two six-month programs with cohorts of 24-30 entrepreneurs who have been selected via an application process. We will then teach business skills, give guidance, and offer funding to businesses that will help the Tacoma community as a whole. The overarching goal of Surge Institute is to build a community of savvy business owners whose ventures create jobs and improve the lives of Tacomans! That’s why we also sponsor and support programs for elementary and middle school students, such as robotics clubs at Tacoma Public Schools.
